Personally, I believe video games are a great escape from the stresses of life, at least for a little while anyway…

How nice for a change a report from a non-crazy person. I do believe video game violent or not help reduce stress. On the depression side I can say that video games have helped me a lot more then any of the types of meds I have been on (I don’t recommend stopping meds for games though).

I happy to see that studies of this nature are taking place and hope to see more good news like this.

Yeah, I have them on the Wii but I haven’t played them inside out like I did with the Mario games after the 64 version. I really should go back and finish Galaxy before number 2 hit but Games like Red Dead and Skate 3 are sucking away all my gaming time.

@slapshakle lol there was definitely a Sega vs Nintendo divide at the time (or Mario vs Sonic?). I still think the 2d games are worth playing, you can grab them all from the Wii Ware store – Well, as long as you have a Wii, and it has internet access, and you don’t mind paying for them…
