NPD Group has released its videogame industry sales data for the month of August, 2010 (based on US sales). Xbox 360 was the top-selling console for the second consecutive month since launching the S model, pushing 356,700 units. The PlayStation 3 sold 226,000 and showed growth for the thirteenth consecutive month. Ninendo's Wii sold 244,300 units, which the NPD says is its weakest performing month since launch.
